Mugo takes Porto Marathon

Kenya's Samuel Muturi Mugo won the Porto Marathon improving his personal best to 2:11:08.
Mugo left the runner-up, Ethiopian Tesfaye Tola, more than one minute behind (2:12:14). The third place on the podium went to another Ethiopian, Negari Getachew Terfa, with 2:13:19.
The women’s race was won by Ethiopian Tirfe Tsagaye Beyene, running 2:35:31. The Portuguese Fátima Silva was second in 2:46:22.
