Som sets his sights on defending his European 800m title

Bram Som was the toast of the Netherlands at the last European Athletics Championships, the 800m runner winning his country's only gold medal in Göteborg four years ago, and now he's gearing up to defend his title this summer.

"I'm very focused on defending my European title in Barcelona. The day of the final, Saturday 31 July, is highlighted in red in my schedule," said Som.
