May 8, 2010
Jamaica’s two-time Olympic 200m champion Veronica Campbell-Brown and Michael Frater were winner at Saturday’s (8 May) Osaka Grand Prix.
Campbell-Brown took the event in 11.02, beating Japanese Chisato Fukushima (11.27) and Australia Melissa Breen (11.47).
“I didn’t execute the way I wanted but am happy to get the win,” said Campbell-Brown, who was returning to the same stadium she won the World Championships 100m three years ago.
And she was quick to point out “It’s always good to come back to Osaka.”
In the men’s event, Frater took victory in 10.24 seconds ahead of American Travis Padgett (10.34).
