World Rankings: 6 new leaders before Lausanne
There are six new event leaders in the All-Athletics.com World Rankings. This was the last update of the rankings before the upcoming Lausanne and Gateshead Diamond League meetings.
The new event leaders are:
Men's 1500m - Asbel Kiprop (KEN)
Men's 5000m - Bernard Lagat (USA)
Men's Discus - Piotr Małachowski (POL)
Men's 110m Hurdles - David Oliver (USA)
Women's 800m - Mariya Savinova (RUS)
Women's 5000m - Sentayehu Ejigu (ETH)
In the Men's Overall Rankings world number one shot putter, Christian Cantwell of the USA, overtook his countryman Tyson Gay and has climbed to the third position. David Oliver moved up all the way from the 30th to the 12th rank overall.
Both Veronica Campbell-Brown of Jamaica and American one-lap hurdler Lashinda Demus moved up four places, to the 3rd and 4th positions respectively.
