Tyson Gay rules out marathon attack

The 2010 Diamond League 100m winner Tyson Gay has ruled out ever running a marathon and admits the furthest continuous distance he has ever ran is a mile-and-a-half, spikesmag.com reports.

The US sprint star was asked the question does he ever plan to run over the 26.2-mile distance following Carl Lewis’ intention to run the Houston Marathon.

“Well I guess I already said in my IAAF Diary that there is a zero chance so I don't want to have to go back on my word, haha... Maybe I will wait and give you my final answer after I see if Carl survives," said Gay.
