The latest All-Athletics.com World Rankings were published and we summarized the situation in the top sections in the events finished before 30 August.

10000m: Despite finishing 'only' 2nd in Daegu, Mo Farah kept the lead in the Rankings. World champion Ibrahim Jeilan Gashu moved up from 15th to 3rd.
110m Hurdles: Jason Richardson not only has a World Championships gold medal now, but has elevated to the top of the World Rankings, as well. Pre-Dageu leader David Oliver dropped to 3rd, while DQ-ed Dayron Robles is now in 4th.

Race Walk: World 20 km race walk champion Valeriy Borchin is the new leader and is followed by two Chinese, Zhen Wang and Yafei Chu. Colombia's Luis Fernando López is now in 4th. The upcoming 50 km event is to affect the next Rankings.
Decathlon: Daegu silver medallist Ashton Eaton kept the leading position, just ahead of world champion Trey Hardee. Bronze medallist Leonel Suárez confirmed his 3rd rank.
Women
100m: Carmelita Jeter - Veronica Campbell-Brown - Kelly-Ann Baptiste. That was the world rankings order before the World Championships and that's how they finished in the Final in Daegu. No surprise that this is the order in the current Rankings, as well.
400m: Pre-Daegu leader Amantle Montsho won a gold medal for Botswana and has strengthened her top position in the World Rankings. Silver medallist Allyson Felix moved from 5th to 2nd rank.
10000m: World champion Vivian Jepkemoi Cheruiyot moved from 2nd to 1st, followed by Linet Chepkwemoi Masai (bronze in Daegu) and Sally Kipyego (silver in Daegu).
Marathon: Edna Ngeringwony Kiplagat was 3rd before Daegu, the highest ranked among the participants. With her world title she is now in 2nd. Daegu silver medallist Prisca Jeptoo raised to 4th position.
3000m Steeplechase: Milcah Chemos was undefeated this year before Dageu, but she was bronze medallist there. Yet she kept the lead in the World Rankings ahead of Daegu silver medallist Habiba Ghribi and world champion Yuliya Zaripova.
Pole Vault: Yelena Isinbayeva's participation in Daegu was a major upset, but not if looking at the pre-Daegu All-Athletics.com World Rankings. Before the World Championships she did not have enough results to be ranked which means she has a lack of competitions. Now she is 5th in the Rankings. World champion Fabiana Murer moved from 2nd to 1st place and is followed by bronze medallist Svetlana Feofanova.
Long Jump: In a low profile World Championships Final Brittney Reese defended her title and also her top position in the World Rankings.
Shot Put: Top favourite and pre-Daegu ranking leader Valerie Adams won the title with a huge throw. This is how the All-Athletics.com World Rankings looked like before the World Championships: Valerie Adams - Nadezhda Ostapchuk - Jillian Camarena-Williams - Lijiao Gong. In Daegu they finished the Final in the very same order and that's the current standing in the World Rankings, as well.
Discus Throw: World champion Yanfeng Li moved from 3rd to 2nd position while silver medallist Nadine Müller kept the lead. They are followe by bronze medallist Yarelis Barrios.
Heptathlon: Tatyana Chernova was 1st in the All-Athletics.com World Rankings before Daegu and she proved it by winning the gold medal there. Silver medallist Jessica Ennis is now in 2nd position while bronze medallist Jennifer Oeser is in 3rd.
The next edition of the Rankings will be published on 4 September.
