Ciaran McDonagh Joins Jamaica’s Elite Sprinters

Leading Irish physiotherapist Ciaran McDonagh flys to Jamaica this weekend June 16th , to treat Jamaica’s world renowned sprinters. Ciaran will assist Jamaica’s sprint squad over the next 2 weeks as they prepare for the nationals championships and Olympic trials in Kingston (June 28th – July 1st )

The Caribbean trip arose after Ciaran spent some time recently in Rome and Oslo, treating Asafa Powell, Usain Bolt and Michael Frater. The Jamaicans were impressed with his physio skills and requested the Meath man to join their backroom staff in preparation for the Olympic Trials.

Now retired from competitive athletics, Ciaran (Fr Murphys AC) has represented Ireland on many occasions and remains national long jump record holder.
